Before, I hated it, but now lying on the sand by the sea, soaking up sunshine and flowing of everything possible through the head I just adore. At the seaside I made pencil sketches for the series “Wide Stripes”. Under the influence of watching a moderate tide, I changed the vertical division of the stripes and began to draw them a little slantways. The oblique divided stripes began to resemble the tidal waves of the sea. That is the “sea”, although the length of the stripes is again determined by the wavy lines structures. But here, it probably does not matter at all. Later I also painted paintings with stripes-waves.
