Exhibice:“5 hrs 30 mins” Synagogue, Galeria J. Koniarika, 2008

Again, inspired by the “Macaroni” series. I accepted the offer for an exhibition, but I did not want to exhibit hanging pictures. I wanted to respond to the space of the old synagogue. I had all window coverings removed so that I denuded the interior space as much as possible, and so that daylight could start flowing into the synagogue. On the ground plan of the floor, I planned to do a drawing by scattering it with sand. I wanted to emphasise as much as possible the passage of time, and I titled the work in advance by the estimating the time stamp necessary for creating the drawing. The assistant would bring me the sand and I with a bent back without a break circled around and poured it out. I overran the originally determined time by five minutes.

Opět zde byla inspirace cyklem Makarony. Tentokrát jsem přijal nabídku uspořádat výstavu obrazů s podmínkou, že výstava bude, obrazy nikoliv. Chtěl jsem reagovat na prostor staré synagogy, který bývá používán pouze pro výstavní účely. Nechal jsem odstranit všechna zakrytí oken abych vnitřní prostor co nejvíce obnažil. Na půdoryse podlahy vymezeném ochozy v patře jsem chtěl obyčejným vysypávat kresbu. Chtěl jsem co nejvíce zdůraznit plynutí času a práci jsem dopředu, kvůli pozvánkám, nazval odhadnutým časovým údajem, potřebným pro vytvoření kresby. Asistent mi přinášel písek a já jsem s ohnutými zády bez přestávky krouži a sypal. Původně vymezený čas jsem přetáhl o pět minut.
